One Day (I’m Gonna Make You Mine) is the first track on Sheila E.’s third album Sheila E.. The track is co-written by Prince and Sheila E., and Prince plays most instruments and produces the track.

While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place in late September 1986, at Prince’s Galpin Blvd Home Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota (during the same set of sessions as Superfunkycalifragisexy, Koo Koo and When The Dawn Of The Morning Comes).
