Oobey Doop is an unreleased track recorded by Prince and Elisa Fiorillo recorded (or at least worked on) in December 1989 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (based on the fact that part of the song can be heard in New Power Generation (Pt. II), as released on Graffiti Bridge). They worked on the track further in late June 1990, at Olympic Studios, London, England (during the same set of sessions that produced Daddy Pop and Walk Don’t Walk, both of which also feature Elisa Fiorillo and Schoolyard, but mostly focused on Rosie Gaines' first solo album, recording My Tender Heart, Hold Me, Pain, Streetwalker, In The Name Of Love and Turn Your Lights Down Low).

Oobey Doop was remixed in September or October 1990, at Larrabee Sound Studios in North Hollywood, California during recording sessions for the New Power Generation maxi-single (during the same set of sessions as the N.P.G. (Funky Weapon Remix), T.C.’s Rap, Tony’s Iggnant Mix, Get Off, The Lubricated Lady, Loveleft, Loveright, a segue later included in the N.P.G. (Funky Weapon Remix), Play, Heaven Is Keeping Score, Insatiable, additional recording on My Tree and A Positive Place and a remix for The Latest Fashion). The extended version created during these sessions was known both as Ooh Bee Shoo Bee Doo Koo Shoo Ooh and Oobey Doop Be Shoo Doo Loo Fly Me Doo Koo Shoo Ooh.

Ooh Bee Shoo Bee Doo Koo Shoo Ooh was included as the eighth track (seventh song) on an October 1990 configuration of the New Power Generation maxi-single. Another October 1990, configuration included Oobey Doop as the eighth track, with Oobey Doop Be Shoo Doo Loo Fly Me Doo Koo Shoo Ooh as the ninth track, but the track was removed from the final release. All versions of the song remain unreleased.
