- 1984 – Purple Rain opens in cinemas across the US
- 2011 - Andy Allo’s Facebook page streams a live version of Little Red Corvette, from the 26 July 2011, show, which had just ended a few hours earlier, as a YouTube video (audio only, with a static image).
- 2024 – Prince was posthumously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at a ceremony at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN, where a screening of Purple Rain was organized. Prince was recommended for induction in 2013 and was actually set to be inducted in June 2016, which at that time was halted after his passing, two months earlier.
