Release Yourself, a live version of the track by Graham Central Station, was released as the final bonus on the Rave Un2 The Year 2000 VHS and DVD. The track is performed by Larry Graham (who wrote the song) and Prince. No audio-only version of this performance has been released.

The song was included on Larry Graham’s band Graham Central Station’s 1974 album Release Yourself, which was cited by Prince as one of his favorite records. This album also contains I Believe In You and Hey Mr. Writer which were also played live by Prince.

Release Yourself is not believed to have been recorded in the studio by Prince. Sly Stone is quoted with this song in the lyrics of Musicology.
