Martika’s Kitchen was the second single to be released from Martika’s second album Martika’s Kitchen, and was released a few months after the album, released in the USA, the UK and Europe only.
The single contained an edit and some remixes of the track Martika’s Kitchen, as well as a remix by Prince of Love... Thy Will Be Done, both of which were written, produced and largely performed by Prince.
Some versions also included the track Broken Heart, also taken from the album (containing no input by Prince).
The single only reaching number 93 on the US Billboard Pop Chart, but fared better in the UK, where it reached number 17 on the UK Gallup Singles Chart.
