Paisley Park was the second single to be released from Prince’s eighth album Around The World In A Day, the second album to be credited to Prince and the Revolution, although it was the first single in all territories in which it was released (the UK, Europe and Australia), on the same day that Prince recorded Hello in the studio.
It was the first single to be released on Paisley Park label in the territories in which it was released. The single was released five weeks after the album’s release. The single included a non-album track b-side, She’s Always In My Hair as well as a remix of Paisley Park.
Raspberry Beret was released concurrently in the USA (with She’s Always In My Hair as the b-side).
The single reached number 18 on the UK Gallup Singles Chart.
