Sexuality was the fourth and final single to be released from Prince's fourth album Controversy, released around ten months after the album.

The single was released in West Germany, Japan and Australia only.

The album version of the title track was used as the A-side. The B-side, Controversy, was also taken from the album.

The single didn't enter the charts in Germany, Australia or Japan.
