Spirit was a single to be released from Martika’s second album Martika’s Kitchen in May 1992, around eight months after the album (following the fourth and final commercial release, Safe In The Arms Of Love), and was available in The Netherlands only, and in the UK as a promo.
Spirit was written, produced and largely performed by Prince. The single contained five remixes of the track on the Dutch 12", and two different ones on the UK Promo release.
As a promotional release only, the single was not eligible to enter the charts.
