Soul Company is an unreleased song recorded on 18 November, 1988 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA, during a three-day break from the Lovesexy Tour (between concerts in Vancouver, BC, Canada and Ames, IA, USA, on the same day as Girl Power, and during the same set of sessions that produced Prince's additional instrumentation on Love Song, Like A Prayer, Act Of Contrition and Keep It Together, all for Madonna's album Like A Prayer).

Saxophone overdubs were added by Eric Leeds the following day, 19 November, 1988. Although Sheena Easton visited during these sessions, it is unlikely she participated musically.

The song was included as the sixth track on a 1989 configuration of Sheila E.'s planned fourth album on Paisley Park Records, which was ultimately abandoned, and the song remains unreleased.
