Turn Your Lights Down Low is an unreleased cover version by Rosie Gaines of the track originally recorded by Bob Marley and the Wailers, from their 1977 album Exodus, written by Bob Marley). Rosie Gaines' version was recorded in June, 1990, at Olympic Studios, London, England (during the same set of sessions that produced Daddy Pop, Schoolyard and Walk Don't Walk, but mostly focused on Rosie Gaines' first solo album, recording My Tender Heart, Hold Me, Pain, Streetwalker and In The Name Of Love). It was later released by Rosie Gaines, however, on Closer Than Close, without Prince's input. Little is known about Prince's involvement in the 1990 recording, although he is believed to have been the producer, and may have played on the track also. The 1990 recording remains unreleased.
