Baltimore is a Prince video released in conjunction with the events occuring in the United States following the the deaths of Freddie Gray.

The song itself was initially wrote and released in April 2015 in response to the death of 25-year-old African-American man Freddie Gray in Baltimore, Maryland, and the resulting riots taking place over the days prior to the song’s recording.

The video compiles footage of protests and newspaper articles about the deaths of Freddie Gray and Michael Brown. It also contains photographies taken by Ralston Smith (the director of this video) of the Rally 4 Peace concert Prince gave on 10 May 2015 in Baltimore.

The video was re-upload by The Prince Estate on the streaming plateforms in conjunction with the events following the death of George Floyd in Prince’s hometown, Minneapolis, Minnesota on 25 May 2020.
