This entry details a video for the song Pope. Its existence was not known until a videotape containing parts of the footage was included posthumously in a 2020 auction from RRAuction.com with the following description: "Prince’s personally taken Fuji VHS home movie marked on the label in black felt tip, Pope. The content of the video includes a Sunday pool party at Prince’s house in 1993, where Prince plays the part of cameraman and director and records future wife Mayte Garcia as she lip-syncs the song Pope. Garcia eventually takes the camera and proceeds to tape Prince as he dances and walks around the property. The footage then cuts to a studio rehearsal in Paisley Park". Screenshots from the video were shown in a 2022 auction for a "necklace, Prince and first wife Mayte filmed themselves rehearsing the song Pope at his purple and yellow home at 7141 Galpin Blvd. behind Lake Riley".
It is not known if the rehearsal footage are related to the video and if it was ever finished and edited. The song Pope was included on Prince’s compilation album The Hits 2 (which is also included as the second disc of The Hits / The B-Sides) as one of the six previously-unreleased songs of the whole set. Three of the 'new' songs received a video treatment (Peach, Nothing Compares 2 U and Pink Cashmere) in addition to 4 The Tears In Your Eyes (shot in 1985). Pope was also released as a promotional single in Europe in 1994, but the video was not used as a promotional tool for the The Hits / The B-Sides compilations.
