The Daisy Chain is a Prince video released as part of NPG Music Club Edition # 2 in March 2001 (downloadable for the Premium members). The song was first released as a stand-alone track, included on a single credited to The NPG in 2001 and in The Slaughterhouse album credited to Prince in 2004.
The video was presumably shot in August 2000 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, Minnesota (it was premiered during a Paisley Park party on 26 August 2000 along with an unreleased video for Supercute shot around the same time). Of note, this is DVS' only appearance in an officially released Prince video.
The Daisy Chain is a playful video with an amateurish quality reminiscent of the Alphabet Street. It features Geneva prominently, dancing in front of a large daisy projected on a backdrop. Prince is shown wearing an NPG basketball jersey and (uncharacteristically) Nike sneakers. Kip Blackshire and DVS are present throughout the video, singing and playing basket ball with him. Also featured are a young child picking the petals of a daisy and Larry Graham playing bass with the band. Intriguingly, it ends with Prince and Kip playing one on-one basketball and the phrase "2 B Continued ... Never!".
