The video was presumably shot in September 2000 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, Minnesota. When Lay My Hands On U is a simple performance of the song with Prince, Desray Junca, Kirk Johnson and Rhonda Smith; and including suggestive dance moves and a reference to a book entitled 'The Truth' (signifying Prince’s new found religious understanding).
