Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad? is a Prince video released for broadcast and to promote the single.

Contrary to I Wanna Be Your Lover, but quite similar to the (unreleased) band version of the same song, this video shows Prince and his band lip-syncing to a live performance. The band plays on a concert stage, which is a notably different from the I Wanna Be Your Lover (band version), shot in a rehearsal space/studio.

Of note, this is the only appearance of Gayle Chapman in a Prince music video (she also appears in the unreleased version of the I Wanna Be Your Lover (band version) video).
