Visions is an instrumental by Lisa Coleman recorded on 10 March 1986 at Prince’s Galpin Blvd Home Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

It was written and recorded by Lisa Coleman without Prince’s writing or musical input (with engineer Susan Rogers providing the title). It was Prince’s request that Lisa record some music in his new home studio. When Prince heard it he chose to use it as opening for the Dream Factory album. It is listed here as a Prince (Prince and the Revolution) track, for that reason.

The track was included as the first track on all three known configuration of the unreleased album Dream Factory, April 1986, 3 June 1986 and 18 July 1986. When Prince decided not to proceed with the album after disbanding the Revolution, the song was shelved.

In 1990, Wendy & Lisa included this track (now renamed Minneapolis #1) as the first track on a limited edition bonus CD included with their third album Eroica. In 2017 the track also appeared on a deluxe edition of the album.

In September 2020 the song was released under its original title as the seventh track of Vault Tracks part 1, one of the discs with previously unreleased tracks included with the Sign O’ The Times Super Deluxe Edition.
