We Got The Power (also known as Dance With Power (Dance With Soul)) is an unreleased track recorded on 15 October 1988 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (during a day of on the Lovesexy Tour, between shows in Atlanta, GA and Greensboro, NC).

The song contains a robotic-sounding countdown from a sound library set by Sound Ideas that was later used on Live 4 Love. That sound effect was used as an intro to Controversy on the Lovesexy Tour a week after We Got The Power was recorded (Delirious, Pop Life, Lady Cab Driver and Something Funky (This House Comes) also use samples from this series, and the computer keystroke noises and computer confirmation beep, as well as the vault door sample heard throughout The Gold Experience are also from this series).

We Got The Power was included on a 27 October 1988, configuration of Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic, but was not included on the late 1988 / early 1989 configuration.

The main lyrics and melody of the verses are re-used from Call Of The Wild, recorded in late July 1985. It was briefly considered for use on the Batman album, and was used in the background of an early unreleased trailer for the Batman movie (with the Batman Theme). The chant of "hey, we got the power, oh, we got the soul, hey we got the sho'nuff get off to make the devil go go" was used in Batdance. Similarly, the chant "hey, we got the power, oh, we got the soul" was used in Carmen Electra’s Power From Above.

The track mentions some of Prince’s band members from the time; "Joshua" (referring to Atlanta Bliss, and "Junior" (Levi Seacer, Jr.) , and mentions "an angel" for a drummer (Sheila E.’s name in the original Graffiti Bridge movie script was "Angel"), which may be a reason the track wasn’t used once the group disbanded.

A page of sheet music with the title Dance With Power (Dance With Soul) was included in the Graffiti Bridge movie, which the character Aura (played by Ingrid Chavez) looks over (other song titles shows are God Is Alive (God Is Love), Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic, Love Is Everywhere and The Spiritual World). Additionally, Prince refers to the unreleased track The Grand Progression (also planned for the Graffiti Bridge movie and album) by asking "is the progression grand?" (he refers to The Grand Progression similarly in F.U.N.K.). We Got The Power (or Dance With Power (Dance With Soul)) was not included on any known configuration of the Graffiti Bridge album. The track remains unreleased.
