The Greatest Romance Ever Sold is a Prince (as SymbolSmallerBlue.png) video released for broadcast and to promote the single.

The video was filmed at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, MN, USA, between 6 November, 1999 and 8 November, 1999.

It features only Prince and a female dancer that went by the name Desray. Prince is said to have met her after spotting her in a chorus line of strippers at the Crazy Horse in Paris, France. The choreography performed by Prince and Desray in this video dismayed Mayte who was still officially Prince's wife at this time when their marriage was in turmoil.
