Trivia

  • This was the First concert ever held at this venue. The local council on behalf of local residents applied to Land and Environment court to try and stop the concert taking place. Only four days prior to the concert the court ruled that the show may proceed, citing among the factors the interests of patrons of that had bought tickets in advance. The verdict was party based on "substantial unrecoupable loss" that promoter Paul Dainty would be exposed to in case the show would not be allowed. It was reported at the time that more 35000 tickets had been pre-purchased.
  • The show ended with a big display of fireworks, while on the video video screens the message Thank U Sydney. See U Soon – Prince & The NPG thanks Australia. was displayed.
