NPG Operator Intro

NPG Operator Intro (a.k.a. 1-800-New-Funk) is the first track on the New Power Generation's second 'solo' album Exodus. It introduces the album with SymbolSmallerBlue.png playing someone calling NPG Records to find out about their "worldwide talent search". The operator, credited to Rain Ivana but played by Mayte, says that above all, the people they're looking for must be able to "Get Wild", leading directly into Get Wild.

A few weeks before the album's release, this track was included as the second track (titled 1-800-New-Funk) on the NPG Records Sampler Experience given to some concertgoers at later dates on The Ultimate Live Experience tour.

The track was included as the third track on the 19 June 1994 configuration of Exodus. It was then moved to become the first track on the 2 December 1994 configuration, where it stayed for the final release.

Oddly, The F-word is censored by a blank on the version that is available on the european edition of the album, while this word is audible on other songs and segues of the Exodus album. This passage is not censored on the australian edition of the album.
