  • Marva King has been performing with major artists since the age of 13 with the Clarke Sisters and Andre Crouch. Marva was nurtured by a family of entertainers with gospel, classical, and secular music. Her mother, who is a vocal and piano teacher, between touring, nourished and influenced Marva's skills. Marva has taken audiences by storm in her stunning role as "Helen", the lead in the hit musical play "Diary Of A Mad Black Woman", which has been in theatres across the country since January, 2001.

    Marva was nominated and won Best Neo-soul Live Performer and Best Neo-soul Artist at the R&B Soul Music Awards 2003 in Los Angeles.
