The track was recorded on 2 July, 2013 (am) at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA. The version of the track made available is a live in-studio recording; it is not known if any other versions of the track were recorded, or if the track is intended to be part of an album or any particular project.
When Menstrual Cycle and Octopus Heart were later made available for download, the artist credit 3rdEyeGirl was used, so it is used here also, although no formal artist credit was given for the track during streaming.
