Pretzelbodylogic is the second track on Prince's 36th album Plectrumelectrum (the first by Prince and 3rdEyeGirl). Almost eight months earlier, however, it was released on the stand-alone single Pretzelbodylogic. A few days prior (on 28 January, 2014), a 28-second audio clip was streamed on the 3rdEyeGirl YouTube account. The track was announced by Hannah Welton-Ford on her Facebook account as the first single from the PlectrumElectrum album, although Fixurlifeup had been released ten months earlier. While specific recording details are not known, it is likely that initial tracking took place in late 2013 or early 2014 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA.
