Crimson And Clover is one of the two Prince video to have been released through his Lotusflow3r.com website, filmed in a green screen studio in Hollywood in early 2009.
The video was premiered on 24 March 2009, the same day as the launch of Prince's website: Lotusflow3r.com. It was streamed on the website in the Lotusflow3r section, a futuristic scene featuring a smoke surrounded sphere crowned by lotus flower petals, topped by flame effects evolving around a ray of light that appeared to fade upwards into purple skies. On the left side were two pyramids, on which one had to click to access the 'Crimson And Clover' video.
The video shows Prince singing and playing guitar in a psychedelic scenery involving two dancers; images of Prince and both dancers are interlaced and superimposed to make Prince appear in the shadow of the dancers.
