4ever is the fourth track on Prince's 33rd studio album Lotusflow3r. Recording dates and studio are unknown. Prince has stated that some tracks on the Lotusflow3r date back to 3121 recording sessions, and the presence of Támar Davis on background vocals suggests that the track was recorded before Summer 2006, at the latest. The track was premiered on Los Angeles radio station Indie 103 on 18 December 2008, along with Crimson And Clover, Colonized Mind and Wall Of Berlin. Despite the title, 4ever was not included on the posthumous compilation album 4Ever, which focused on his Warner Bros. material from 1978-1993.
