Bodyfreeze is an unreleased track believed to have been recorded in 1977, likely at Sound 80, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prince’s handwritten notes as used in The Beautiful Ones book released posthumously in 2019 revealed the previously-unknown track as the second track on an early configuration of his debut album For You. It has not been confirmed that the song was fully recorded in a professional studio, though, nor that the album was ever actually compiled in this form; it is certainly possible that Prince was simply working through ideas using songs he had written when compiling this tracklist.
