It Be’s Like That Sometimes was recorded by Prince alone on 11 October 2020 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California, days after giving notice to band-members that he would be disbanding The Revolution. The song’s melody and feel are not entirely unlike that of The Ball recorded in July, a track that would later be redone as No, but seems to otherwise have nothing to do with this song that was released in September 2020 on one of the discs with previously unreleased tracks included with the Sign O’ The Times Super Deluxe set.
