Bridge Of Graffiti is an unreleased track originally recorded with only piano in July at either Prince’s Galpin Blvd Home Studio or Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. It is not known if the track was re-recorded in the studio.
The lyrics and the music are entirely different from Graffiti Bridge recorded on 11 July 1987.
The song was most likely written specifically for the Graffiti Bridge movie, as Prince started to record songs in July 1987 (the aforementionned Graffiti Bridge and Melody Cool). The song was shelved as the project developed and is not mentioned in the initial script, dated 22 September 1987.
