Beautiful Life is the fourth track on Judith Hill’s debut album Back In Time, which was first made available as a free download on 23 March 2015. The track was written by Judith Hill and was first released in an alternate recording (without input from Prince) on the soundtrack album to Spike Lee’s movie Red Hook Summer in 2012. Prince appears as a producer and musician on the re-recording of the track. While specific recording dates are not known, it is assumed to have been recorded in January or February 2015, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
