| It Be’s Like That Sometimes
It Be’s Like That Sometimes was recorded by Prince alone on 11 October 1986 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California, on the same day as Violet Blue (with which it shares the basic beat) and a few days after giving notice to band-members that he would be disbanding The Revolution. The song’s melody and feel are not entirely unlike that of The Ball recorded in July, a track that would later be redone as No, but seems to otherwise have nothing to do with this song.
The song was released in September 2020, as the fourteenth and last track of Vault Tracks part 2, one of the discs with previously unreleased tracks included with the Sign O’ The Times Super Deluxe Edition.
