Flash


Flash, sometimes also as MC Flash, after the initials of the lead singer Margie Cox is a group based around Margie Cox with members of the early NPG as well as members that were in local Minneapolis band Dr. Mambo's Combo. They recorded an album also named Flash of mostly Prince and Levi Seacer, Jr. compositions with Margie Cox on vocals, that was left unreleased. The group only appeared live when they opened for Prince on a few shows in the spring of 1990 as backing band for Mavis Staples on selected dates of the Nude Tour.
