The single was released by the British label Charly Records to promote the launch of its online-store. If We Don’t / I’ll Always Love You was available for preorder in November 2022 as a regular 7" single and a test-pressing (the latter being limited to 10 copies).

The single, released under the moniker 94 East featuring Prince, did not chart. The order page of Charly Records’s store announced the forthcoming release of a six-minute house remix of I’ll Always Love You but it never materialized.
