This Crazy Life Of Mine was a promotional single by Chaka Khan available in May 1999, six months after the release of her first and only NPG Records album Come 2 My House; the single marked the last release by Chaka Khan on NPG Records.
In an interview for BET Tonight with Tavis Smiley on 4 March 1999, Khan announced that This Crazy Life Of Mine was going to be the next single but the song was not release commercially for unknown reason. The promotional CD was only available in the US. It contained the intro of the song as a separate track and the album version of This Crazy Life Of Mine.
Of note, the Come 2 My House album was set for release in July 1998, before being delayed for unknown reasons. This, therefore, shifted the entire promotion schedule. The promotional CDs for This Crazy Life Of Mine are dated 1998 as they were originally scheduled and ready to be released that year (the video for this song was also shot in late spring 1998).
As a promo it was not eligible to chart.
