Good Love was the first track on the Bright Lights, Big City soundtrack album, released to coincide with the Bright Lights, Big City movie. This marked the first time that Prince had contributed a previously-unreleased song to a movie soundtrack. In 1998, a different edit of the song (editing out some parts, but including a longer ending), was included as the ninth track on the second disc of Prince’s 20th album Crystal Ball (his fourth using the name ).
