Crying was the second single to be released from Loïs Lane’s third album Precious. It was released only in the duo’s home country of The Netherlands in September 1992, a few months after the album.

The single contained the album version of the song (written by J. Doornik and Suzanne Klemann and produced by Kirk Johnson). Prince appears as a musician (uncredited) on the song and is listed as executive producer. He had no involvement on the b-side She Came By, also taken from Precious.

The single reached position 45 in the Dutch Mega Top 50 singles chart.
