Recording dates are unknown, but it is likely that the track was recorded in early 2001 (most likely at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA). The track is brief, including only the repeated vocal refrain (thought to be by Prince) of "1, 2" over a rhythmic instrumental track. It is assumed that the music was also by Prince, but it is possible it is sampled from a track by another artist.
