Rock And Roll Love Affair is a stand-alone single released on swiss label Purple Music on 22 November 2012 (after initially being announced for 2 November, then 16 November 2012). It is announced available for retailers on 26 November 2012.

The single was premiered on 17 September 2012 on US radio iHeartRadio.com (at the same time as Prince's appearance on US talk show The View). It was announced as rotating on European radios from 12 October 2012 onwards.

Rock And Roll Love Affair has been released sor far under CD and 12" vinyl (regular and picture) formats. The digital release is still pending. At the time of writing it is not known if this is intended to tie-in with any larger studio project, or will remain as a stand-alone single.
