Teacher, Teacher is an unreleased song first recorded in Summer, 1982 at Prince's Kiowa Trail Home Studio, Chanhassen, MN, USA (along with several other tracks that would re-appear over the next several years). In early 1986, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman worked on the track further, at either Prince's Galpin Blvd Home Studio, Chanhassen, MN, USA, or the Crosstown Circle Warehouse, Eden Prairie, MN, USA, adding vocals and sitar. It was included as the eighth track on the late April, 1986, configuration of the Prince and the Revolution album Dream Factory. It was included as the seventh track on the first disc of the 3 June, 1986 configuration, but was not included on the 18 July, 1986 configuration. It was late sent to Three O'Clock for consideration along with Neon Telephone, Girl O' My Dreams, We Can Funk and Can't Stop This Feeling I Got, but the band decided to use only Neon Telephone. The song remains unreleased.
Although the song was originally a solo Prince recording, it is listed here as a Prince and the Revolution track as it was planned as such when included on the Dream Factory album.
