Bridge Of Graffiti (or A Bridge Of Graffiti) is an unreleased track originally recorded with only piano in July at either Prince’s Galpin Blvd Home Studio or Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. It is not known if the track was re-recorded in the studio.
The song was most likely written specifically for the Graffiti Bridge movie, as Prince started to record songs for it in July 1987 (Melody Cool and Graffiti Bridge which is an entirely different song despite a similar title). The song seems to have been quickly shelved as the project developed. Bridge Of Graffiti is not mentioned in the initial script, dated 22 September 1987 (see trivia for details) and was never included on any known configuration of the Graffiti Bridge album.
