The Arabic Intro is a 2-minute interlude performed live by The NPG during the Diamonds And Pearls Tour while Prince was offstage. It is tentatively titled as such as it was played as an intro for Thieves In The Temple. Rosie Gaines’s vocal delivery is similar to a mawwal while she sings the word 'habibi' ('my darling' in arabic). Ululations can also be heard. Musically, The Arabic Intro is made of harp like chord sounds, synth effects (some were also used for Thieves In The Temple), some bass notes and drums. This interlude was 2 minutes-long.
The 'Habibi' chant was also used on Rosie Gaines’ song Play That Beat (which contains no known involvment by Prince) planned for her Concrete Jungle album that was ultimately released in 2010 and on a different version on her album Try Me in 2005.
The Arabic Intro is entirely different from The Egyptian Intro played during the 1993 tours and the 1995-1996 tours and shows.
