RS2 is the second solo album by Rhonda Smith (Prince’s primary bass guitarist from 1996-2004), and the first and only to feature input by Prince. Prince contributed lead and rhythm guitar to the song Time, but did not contribute to the song’s writing or production.
Sessions and compiling
While specific recording dates are not known, it is likely that basic tracking took place in late 2005 or 2006, at either The Manor, Alpharetta, GA, USA, or Slow Wine Music, Sherman Oaks, CA, USA, without Prince input. His guitar parts were recorded at 3121 Antelo Rd., Los Angeles, California, in either late 2005 or 2006.
Promotion
No singles were released from the album, and the album did not enter the charts.
