Alice Through The Looking Glass is a song recorded on 28 May 1991 at Larrabee Sound Studios (Studio A) in North Hollywood, California. The song was offered to Sheila E. who recorded her vocal on it but her version remains unreleased.

Alice Through The Looking Glass has been released as part of the Diamonds And Pearls - The Singles (Collection) and as the fifth track of Vault Tracks part 3, one of the discs with previously unreleased tracks included with the Diamonds And Pearls Super Deluxe Edition.

At least two mixes of the song exist, and the more recent one was chosen for inclusion on Diamonds And Pearls Super Deluxe Edition and the single as part of the singles box. The track was streamed on Prince’s Youtube channel and other streaming platforms on 24 August 2023, the day the set’s release was officially announced as a preview of this posthumous release. An announcement of the release stated:“Prince used synth drums, percussion, a Proteus bass, guitar, and a series of loops to create the song.”
