Brown Skin, a cover version of the track by India.Arie, was streamed as an instrumental rehearsal during 3rdEye TV Show # 11 in 2013. The track first appeared on her 2001 debut album Acoustic Soul, and was released later in the year as the album's second single. It was written by Mark Batson, Shannon Sanders and India.Arie.

The version streamed was a rehearsal streamed live on 3 July 2013, at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA. No studio version is believed to exist, but had been commonly performed by Prince since 2008 (usually with lead vocals by Shelby J.
