A tape photographed in Prince’s vault at Paisley Park Studios has the song listed (as 'The Record), and is dated 10 March 2010, which alludes this is the exact date for the recording at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. On the tape it has The Record “track 1 take 2”, and “track 2 take 1”.
The song was played live once on 18 January 2013, Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant, Minneapolis, MN, USA.
Other tracks on the same tape are Black Muse and 1000 Light Years From Here (later released as part of Black Muse), as well as a song called seemingly called Wud.
