Do U Lie? is the ninth track on Prince’s eighth album Parade, the third to be credited to Prince and the Revolution. The song is also played in Prince’s second movie Under The Cherry Moon.

Basic tracking took place on 14 July 1985 at the Washington Avenue Warehouse in Edina, Minnesota (four days after Neon Telephone), two and a half months after the first configuration of the Parade album was compiled. Clare Fischer arranged and recorded orchestration for the song in January 1986 at Monterey Sound Studios in Glendale, California. A version recorded by Clare Fischer and his orchestra was used as incidental music in Under The Cherry Moon.
