Donald Trump (Black Version) is the seventh track (fifth song) on The Time’s fourth and final album Pandemonium. Donald Trump (Black Version) was written and produced by Prince, but was credited to The Time. Prince plays most instruments on the track.

While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking likely took place in Summer 1989, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Candy Dulfer recorded saxophone overdubs at Paisley Park in late July 1989 (during the same set of sessions where saxophone overdubs were recorded for Love Machine, My Summertime Thang, Release It, Murph Drag, The Latest Fashion, Data Bank, My Baby Knows and A Man Called Jesus). It was included as the third track on the planned 1989 album Corporate World. The Time made slight changes to the mix in late 1989 for inclusion on Pandemonium.

The song is named after American business magnate, socialite, author and television personality Donald Trump. The parenthetical part of the title does not indicate that more than one "version" of the song exists; it refers to the singer being the "black version" of Donald Trump.
