Girls Will Be Girls is an unreleased song recorded in January 1989 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. It was intended for use by Flash / MC Flash (both band names were used), and Margie Cox added her vocals on 24 January 1989, also at Paisley Park Studios (shortly after Prince returned from a trip to London to discuss his participation in the Batman movie, the same day Eric Leeds added saxophone overdubs to Cat Attack). The track is ambitious, with several different sections, and contains lead vocals by Billy Franze on some sections also. The track was included as the ninth track on the Flash album, which was ultimately abandoned.
