I Pledge Allegiance To Your Love is a track recorded at at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, Minnesota on 1 October 1991 (on the same day as Sweet Baby, during sessions thatb yielded trakcs for the  album, between September 1991 and early 1992. The track was at one point considered for which it was considdered, yet not included on any known configuration.
A different song simply called Allegiance was recorded in the same time-period and, was subsequently given to Howard Hewett and released on his fourth solo studio album (also titled Allegiance). I Pledge Allegiance To Your Love remained unreleased until 2023, when it was released as one of the songs on the Diamonds And Pearls Super Deluxe box set. The song was remixed by Chris James in 2022 for use on that collection.
