Judas Smile (initially incorrectly titled Judas Kiss until corrected a few days after its release) was released as part of the NPG Music Club Edition # 7 as an mp3 download. In 2004, it was included (with one slight overdub) as the second track on the compilation album The Chocolate Invasion (which takes its name from the lyrics of this song).

Recording dates are unknown, but due to its inclusion of thanks to some of the artists who performed at the June 2001 "The Rainbow Children: Prince - A Celebration" (Common, Maceo Parker, and Erykah Badu), it is likely that the track was recorded in June-August 2001 (most likely at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota). The song was sampled in the extended version of Sexmesexmenot included on The Chocolate Invasion, unifying the album’s theme.
