Lavaux is the fifth track from Prince’s 35th album 20Ten.

Basic tracking dates are uncertain, but it is believed that the track was recorded between September 2009 and February 2010 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota during sessions that yielded material for the 20Ten album.

Lavaux is named after The Lavaux, a region in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, in the district of Lavaux-Oron. This region is close to the site of the Montreux Jazz Festival, where Prince played shows in 2007 and 2009, so it is possible he wrote the track following these visits to the area.
